Symptoms of Bone Cancer

Symptoms of bone cancer are hard to detect primarily because these signs can be found in other diseases as well. Generally these symptoms include:

• Broken bone
• Pain in the bone
• Tenderness and swelling in the affected area
• Weight loss without any particular cause
• Anaemia with low red blood count
• Generalized or localized fever and weakness.

Types of Bone Cancer

Bone cancers are classified based on the types of cells where the bone cancer begins. They are as follows:
Osteosarcoma: Osteosarcoma is the bone cancer that begins in the bone cells and this type of cancer is generally found in children and young people.
Chondrosarcoma: Chondrosarcoma is the bone cancer that begins in the cartilage cells and is generally found to occur in older adults.
Ewing sarcoma: Where bone cancer named Ewing sarcoma begins is not clearly known. It is believed that they begin in nerve tissues inside the bone. This type of cancer is generally found in children and young people.
